📚 Books 📚 This is a topic that comes up regularly. We've compiled a listing of recommendations for children and their caregivers.

A lot of autistic kiddos won't sit still long enough to be read to and shown the pages as you're reading. That's OK! Read to them anyway. Let them run around and do their thing while you read aloud to them. They're still listening!

Some autistic kiddos will tare a book to shreds. That's OK! You can buy inexpensive board books that are a bit more durable. If they're showing interest in books, feed their interest even though they may destroy them. Additionally, you can get second-hand books from garage sales or thrift stores.
